ENGINE CASE- AutoLinea-H.D. "Bubble Top" Engine Case Aluminum, Spot Faced for 15mm washer.
CRANKSHAFT- 4340 Balanced with flywheel and pressure-plate together as one. pick from 78mm or 82mm.
OIL SUMP SIZE- 1qt is good for lowered VW's as it only extends downward 1.75". Or we can add a 1.5qt this sump will sit about 2.75" lower but also holds an extra 1/2qt, We recommend the larger 3.5qt that also only sits about 2.75" lower but increases your oil capacity to 5 1/2 qts. (stock 2.65qts) We can add/weld on for no extra charge turbo oil returns or By-Pass return AN -8 fittings. Let us know.
CAM GEAR- Stock style Helical cam gear for quiet valve train or we offer Straight-Cut cam gear for performance combos. Straight-cut gears gives that "Whine" sound!
RODS- 4130 H-Beam with 3/8" ARP 8740 bolts, Rod Bolt stretch setting to .0055"
CAMSHAFT- Cam #1=Torquer good for Bus, or Type 3. Cam #2 Sporty, Mid Range good for Bug, Ghia, Thing. Works well with large singe carb or small dual. Cam #3 Street Beast, Mid range/top-end power. Good for Bug, Ghia, Manx, Sand Rail. Must use Dual carbs or injection.
LIFTERS- Precision Ground and Heat Treated, Engle 28mm with EDM hole.
FLYWHEEL- For Bus Type 3, True Drivers we use Stock weight OG German 8Pin, 200mm for crankshaft sabuilty and smooth driving. For our Sporty lighter car builds we like a lighter flywheel.
GLAND NUT- 36mm Chromoly 4130, Heavy Duty set at 500lbs.
MAIN BEARINGS- STD Mahle, polished.
ROD BEARINGS- STD Mahle, Sized, polished.
CAM BEARINGS- STD Mahle, Sized.
OIL PUMP- Schadek, 30mm Full-Flow, with Billet Full-Flow Cover (out port)
HEAD STUDS- Chromoly, 10mm 180,000psi, Overkill but that's a good thing!
PISTONS & CYLINDERS- For our 2180cc builds we like Thick-Wall barrels with forged 92mm, For our 90.5 or 94 we use Mahle or Icon forged pistons.
PUSHROD TUBES- USA LowBugget MAX-SEAL tubes.
HEADS- New Rev-Master Super-Cool DG Heads with larger high flowing Cast-Port 40mm Intake x 35.5mm Exhaust S/S Valves, Single Hi-Rev Valve Springs, Chromoly Retainers, 3 Angle Valve Job, Chased CC Volume is standard. We can replace with CNC 42x37 for our more sporty builds. Not recomended on Bus or heavy type 3 VW's.
PUSHRODS- USA Made Manton 3/8" Diameter.
ROCKERS- LowBugGet PRO-Rockers chromoly 1.25:1 Ratio rockers with 3/4" large shafts.
VALVE COVER- Race-Trim Thick-Cast with AN -8 fittings welded on.
GASKETS- Elring

This is a LONG BLOCK Engine. Just add your top end parts, exhaust exc.
These engine combos make around 110-165hp and 140-160tq.
