LowBugget "I" Beam connecting Rods.
A "I" Beam rod is good for lower rpm (less than 7,000rpms) combos.
They can take a lot of crushing force and we like them in turbo combos (under
boost!) or carb combos that will not see over 7,000rpms. A "H" Beam will hold the
piston from trying to fly off the crank were as a "I" Beam will hold it in line and keep
it from trying to twisting or crushing into the crank. Good for up to 300hp
Each rod:
Made from forged 4130 chrommly steel.
"I" beam design.
Balanced end-to-end.
Dowel pinned
Stock size vw pin bushing (22.mm)
Stock rod width of (.895")
Stock size VW rod journals (55mm)
ARP 8740 3/8" bolts.
5.394" (aka 5.400") vw journals only. Good for 69, 74, 76, 78 and 82mm crank.
